Management

Mr Simon Bourne: Partner - Has been with the firm since 1982.  Simon has over thirty years experience, four years in South Africa as a field construction engineer on heavy civil engineering construction works, and twenty six + years in Australia working as a consultant Local Government Engineer.

Mr Graeme Wills: Partner - Joined the firm in 1983.  From 1992 to 1997, Graeme worked full time with Local Government in the Bundaberg area.  Graeme rejoined the firm in 1997.  He has over 30 years experience on works associated with maritime facilities, irrigation projects, urban developments, road design and construct and water and sewerage applications.  Works include container terminal construction, harbour dredging, roads, bridges, pumping stations, building control, sewerage installations and public swimming pool design and construction with much of this work focusing on the Local Government sector.  Graeme has qualifications in Civil Engineering, holds a Masters Degree in Engineering Science and has completed a Graduate Diploma in Local Government Engineering.

Mr Keith Luckhurst: Partner - Has been with the firm since 2001.  Keith has over twenty-eight + years experience.  Twenty years was spent in Zimbabwe and South Africa as a consulting engineer. Keith and his family’s enjoyment of the Western Queensland lifestyle prompted Keith to become a partner in George Bourne and Associates.

Mr Michael Donald: Partner - He has been with the firm since 2005.  Michael has 8 years + as a field engineer on large civil constructions works, 2 years as with Civil Consulting Engineers and 9 years self employed in Southern Africa.  He has spent 4 years as a consultant Local Government Engineer in Australia where he has covered road construction, airport construction and management, water and sewerage infrastructure management.

Other Staff

The services we provide are Consulting Civil Engineer, Civil Design, Building Certification, and Secretarial Services to our region. 

Consulting Civil Engineers: We currently have Civil and Environmental Engineers with our firm.  We service 10 Regional Councils in the Queensland area. 

Designers: Our Designers cover work from the Regional Councils as well as private works for clients in the region. 

Building Certification: We currently have a Building Certifier who is supported by a Cadet and a Technical Officer.  We also have a Town Planner. Our Building Certifier team covers all the Regional Councils in the area. 

Secretarial Services:   Our admin staff can cater for all your photocopy, laminating, copy of plans, typing of documents, letters and resumes etc for persons requiring this service at a competitive rate.
